Awesome visit to #greenloopfarms at Gambas by Envcares Eco Impact Network initiated by @vincentquck and hosted by Yuki Ong.
This was an incredible learning journey with each of us taking back our own micro farm to nurture our future edible green snacks. Micro-greens are full of goodness and all of us got to taste a wide variety of microgreens including their flowers with unique tastes and petals that tasted like wasabi. Impressed, fresh can be really potent. Lost count of what we ate but all good/great.
Local produced veggies and micro-greens produce less carbon than those air-flown. Sustainable farming needs more support. Advocating reuse, they incorporate used milk cartons into micro farms and other discarded plastic items.
Hydroponics is also great – lots of kale. Really fresh off the stem.
