NUS, Environmental Sustainability and Engineering students visits Envcares
8 April 2025 – a memorable day indeed. Within 4 hours, took two groups of young students, (29 pax in one group and 25 pax in a second group) on a shop tour. None have ever visited an industrial recycling plant. These keen young students came from NUS, Environmental Sustainability and Engineering studies. More specifically taking Prof Jianzhong He core course on Resource Recovery and Circular Economy. The weather held out.
Highlights were to learn about use of spent grains for use in animal feed, seeing a small hill of organic compost, excavators sorting all sorts on industrial and commercial wastes, beer decanting for use in making composting. Found out a bunch of 29 students weigh 1930kg
